Human Rights Party (Cambodia)

The Human Rights Party of Cambodia (French Parti des droits de l' homme ) is a liberal democratic political party in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

She sits down officially for the preservation of democracy, respect for human rights and the abolition of people-oriented party system (based on its name ). Popularity has the Human Rights Party, especially in foreign Cambodians, so with the Cambodians in France. Critics consider the Party as the one party, which is as faithful to the king's party - and behaves the ruling socialist party Parti Populaire Cambodgien (PPC ) - the royalist FUNCINPEC. You should therefore supposedly weaken the opposition.

History

The party was founded on 22 July 2007 by Kem Sokha. He himself has criticized the Parti Populaire Cambodgien frequently. In the Cambodian elections in July of 2008, the party won 6.6% of the vote and received 3 seats in the national parliament. It was thus the third strongest party after the Parti Populaire Cambodgien (PPC ) and the Parti de Sam Rainsy ( successor to the Khmer Nation Party ). 2009 was the Human Rights Party, a one party alliance with the Parti de Sam Rainsy and founded with her alliance Democratic Movement for the change (French Mouvement démocratique pour le changement ).
