Humboldt Mountains

The Alexander von Humboldt Mountains are a mountain range in Antarctica and part of the blessing massif, which includes the Petermann chains and the Otto -von- Gruber Mountains belongs. It is located in central Queen Maud Land and reaches heights of almost 2900 meters. The Alexander von Humboldt Mountains was 1938/39, discovered by the German Antarctic expedition led by Alfred Ritscher, documented with the help of aerial photographs and named after Alexander von Humboldt.
