Humilis of Bisignano

Humilis Pirozzo (birth name: Luke Anthony Pirozzo; born August 26, 1582 Bisignano, Italy, † November 26, 1637 ) was an Italian Franciscan monk and mystic. He is a saint in the Catholic Church.

Life

Humilis, whose real name is Luke Anthony Pirozzo was, came as a lay monk in the Franciscan order. He is said to have possessed the gift of mysticism.

He was canonized in 1892 and beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2002. His feast day is on 26 November.
