Huncovce

Huncovce ( Hunsdorf German, Hungarian: Hunfalva - to 1902 Hounfalou ) is a municipality in Slovakia. It is located on the road to Kežmarok in the Oberzips, eight kilometers north-east of Poprad. The place is located in Okres Kežmarok.

A first settlement from the La Tène period belonged to Púchov culture. The village was first mentioned in 1257 as a villa Supch.

The church was built in the 12th century in the Romanesque style was rebuilt in the 14th and 15th century in the Gothic style. From the 18th century until the First World War there was a rabbinical school.
