History

In a deed of gift of Friedrich von Winneberg and Aschwin to Zeitldorn from the year 1065 the name was first mentioned in Hunderdorf. Through donations, a large part of the area came under the lordship of the monastery Wind Mountain and Monastery Oberalteich. The first detectable church was built in 1359.

Hunderdorf belonged to Rentamt Straubing and the district court Mitterfels of the Electorate of Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

1951, moved the furniture and particle board factory Nolte in Hunderdorf and employed there for almost four decades around 600 workers. Later it was the industrial park Hunderdorf.

Incorporations

In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, the congregation stone castle were incorporated ( with the 1946 incorporated Au vorm Wald ) and the majority of the dissolved municipality Gaishausen in the community Hunderdorf on 1 May 1978.

  • Hunderdorf is considered the " home of Mühlhiasl ".

  • The Protestant Church of Peace was established in 1963, the steeple was followed in 1964.
