Hundsheim

Dog home is a municipality with 614 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Bruck an der Leitha, the easternmost district of Lower Austria on the border with Slovakia.

Geography

Dog home is part of the Lower Austrian industrial area, but is agrarian, and by its location on the southern slope of the Hundsheimer mountain ( 480 m) dominated. The area of ​​the municipality covers 13.42 square kilometers. 28.02 percent of the area is forested.

The place has the form of two compact, slightly rising rows of houses in the middle of the small church. At the east end of the trail begins to the White Cross and the Hundsheimer mountain. In the cliffs above the village there is a flyer monument and Günter cave. 1 km west stands at the foot of the mountain the witches New settlement and a sports center.

Population Development

According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 544 inhabitants. In 1991 the community had 569 inhabitants in 1981 and 558 in 1971, 537 inhabitants.
