Hundsturm

In 1632 the first recorded mention of the village Hundsturm took place. In 1600, Archduke Matthias, who later became Emperor, built as landlord a male dog house in the storm. The name possibly comes from Hundsturm of this dog house. More likely, however, is that he goes back to the former mill dog that is first documented as Hunczmühle in the disk Ried in 1408.
