Hussain Muhammad Ershad

Hossain Mohammad Ershad ( Bengali: হুসেইন মুহাম্মদ এরশাদ, Husein Muhammad Eraśād; born 1 February 1930 in Rangpur, Bengal, British India ) is a retired lieutenant general and politician from Bangladesh.

Biography

Ershad came in 1952 in the armed forces of Pakistan a. He was promoted to lieutenant colonel in 1969. During the Unabhängigkeitsampfes of Bangladesh he was in Pakistan and was adopted after the independence of Bangladesh on 16 December 1971 as Generaladjudant in the armed forces of the new state.
