Hwando Mountain Fortress

Wandu Shancheng or the mountain fortress Hwando is an archaeological site of the kingdom of Koguryo (Ch Gaogouli ) and is located 2.5 km northwest of the city of Ji'an集安市in the Chinese province of Jilin. It is near the site Guonei Cheng, who also belongs to the middle Koguryo time. They are together since 1982 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 2-52 ).

The mountain fortress Wandu ( in the village Shancheng山城 村road district Tongsheng通 胜 街道of Ji'an ) was built in 198 and 342 destroyed. It served as a temporary capital.

Christopher I. Beckwith leads the city's name in the Koguryo language on the "medium term Eurasian ordu ~ ordo, Capital Cities, royal, regal bearing ' " back to even the German word " Horde " back.
