Hy Zaret
Hy Zaret, Hyman Harry Zaritsky actually, (born 27 August 1907 in New York City; † July 2, 2007 in Westport (Connecticut) ) was an American lyricist and composer.
Zaret, son of Russian immigrants, Max Zaritsky, a clothing manufacturer, and Dora Schiffman made in 1934 to change its name.
In 1955 it was known as the lyricist of the song " Unchained Melody " ( music by Alex North ), which counts with 215 cover versions of the most performed songs of the 20th century. In 1956 he was nominated for the song at the Oscar in the category "Best Song."
