Hyacinthe Klosé

Hyacinthe Eléonore Klosé ( born October 11, 1808 Corfu, † August 29, 1880 in Paris) was a French clarinetist and professor at the " Conservatoire de Paris".

Hyacinthe Klosé developed the Boehm system clarinet. He developed a model 1839 with a completely new arrangement of the holes and flaps. As it subsequently adopted calculations of Theobald Boehm. Klose's instrument maker Auguste Buffet built this new clarinet. Klosé and breakfast named the new handle system Boehm system. The Boehm clarinet was accepted by the Paris Conservatory, and it became the standard clarinet in France.

Klosé also had few works composed. One of these is "Duo de La Sonnambula Motifs of sur de Bellini ," a duet on motifs from " La sonnambula " by Bellini.

He created a comprehensive teaching work, the " Méthode complète de clarinet " in five parts.
