Hybrid bicycle

A hybrid bike (also ATB, Eng. All Terrain Bike) is a bike with full equipment and usually 28- inch tires, which for easy terrain (gravel, forest roads ) is designed. Trekking bikes have the frame geometry of the road bike, but are (usually V -Brake ) equipped with mudguards, racks and in most cases also lighting system and cantilever brakes. When circuits are both chain and gear hubs use.

The tires in the touring bike is wider than a road bike, but narrower than that of a touring bike. Often, these bikes also meet the legal requirements for on-road use ( lights, reflectors, etc.) and are equipped with mudguards. Depending on the price range these bikes are also equipped with many additional comfort features such as hub dynamo, fork or disc brakes.

A hybrid bike has to transport usually a luggage rack saddle bags, so that even longer bike rides or smaller bike tours are possible. Many trekking bikes Lowrider can be attached to the fork. The hybrid bike is not comparable to a touring bike with custom geometry; by the increased load is to be expected with reduced stability.
