HylaFAX

HylaFAX is a free fax solution for Unix - like operating systems. It uses a client -server model and allows sending and receiving faxes from different platforms.

Hylafax does not support multiple serial modems (analogue and ISDN) and internal modem card, but directly ISDN cards. These can be operated only through a CAPI interface and with the added, also free capi4hylafax.

Client software is available for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux as well as a web frontend.

As of 2005, there was a spin-off called Hylafax , which was the original in some environments require. The current version 6.0 of HylaFAX integrated some of the extensions (for example, IPv6 support ).
