Hylinae

The Hylinae are a sub- family of tree frogs ( Hylidae ).

Description

The Hylinae are defined by different genetic characteristics. There is only one possible morphological synapomorphy of the taxon known to the flexor tendon of the fifth digit is amplified by a second tendon that originates ventral to the palmaris longus. The chromosome number is 2n = 24, which may be another synapomorphy.
