Hymns by Johnny Cash is the fifth studio album by the American country singer Johnny Cash. It was produced by Don Law and was released in May 1959 as a sequel to The Fabulous Johnny Cash. Between the two albums released by Sun Records Greatest! another album of cash.
The album contains only religious and spiritual songs, making it Cash's first pure gospel album.
Published in 2002 by Columbia / Legacy CD edition of the album containing a song more ( an alternate version without choirs of It Was Jesus).
