Hyndburn
Hyndburn is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Lancashire in England, which is named after the River Hyndburn. Administrative center is the city of Accrington. Other important towns include Church, Clayton -le- Moors and Oswaldtwistle.
The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Borough of Accrington, the Urban Districts Church, Clayton -le- Moors, Great Harwood, Oswaldtwistle and Rishton and parts of Burnley Rural District.
