Hyneria

Hyneria lindae is an extinct species from the group of Osteolepiformes. The species is known only from a few finds from the Devonian strata of the Red Hill Formation in Pennsylvania include the parts of the skull and shoulder girdle. The type was probably closely related to the species of the genus Eusthenodon whether they should be classified in this genus has not been clarified on the basis of the conservation status of the fossil record exhaustive.
