Hyperalgesia
As an excessive sensitivity to pain and hyperalgesia in response to a normally painful stimulus is called out in medicine. Stimuli that can trigger pain, for example, pressure, heat, cold or inflammation. Hyperalgesia is a form of hyperesthesia, the generic term for an excessive sensitivity to a stimulus.
