Hypo Group Tennis International

The ATP tournament from Genoa ( officially Internazionali di Genoa, last IP Cup) is a former Italian men's tennis tournament which took place in the city of Genoa in Liguria. The first edition took place in 1984, at that time in the city of Bari, Apulia region instead. In the 1990 season the tournament then moved to Genoa. Played outdoors on clay, the venue was the Centro Sportivo Valletta Cambiaso. The tournament was scheduled the week before Wimbledon and was part of the ATP World Series, the predecessor series on the ATP World Tour 250 In the 1994 season, the tournament was moved to St. Pölten.

In single- Thomas Muster was the tournament once in Bari and once in Genoa win, making record winner, in a double Claudio Panatta could win the competition twice in Bari, he also won the individual competition once; the last Italian winner was Claudio Pistolesi.

Since 2003, a tennis tournament in the ATP Challenger Tour held again: it runs under the name of AON Open, and is also played on Clay Court.
