Hypophora

The Hypophora is a linguistic means of design.

It represents a question to which the questioner to answer hereafter self. This may cause a particular emphasis.

Examples include, without limitation Hypophora some Bible passages ( italicized is the respective answer to his own question ):

"Or is He the God of the Jews? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also. ( ...) How? We then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! Contrary, we establish the law. " (Rom 3.29)
