Hýskov

Hýskov ( German Hiskau ) is a municipality in the region Středočeský kraj (Czech Republic). Due to its location in the valley of the river Berounka, the place is a destination for hikers and cyclists. Hýskov located 37 kilometers southwest of Prague. To the south rises the Děd ( 492 m).

History

According to archaeological finds, the area was already inhabited by the Celts. In 1088 the place is mentioned far from Beroun in the records of the Chapter of Vyšehrad. Through the village led the so-called Royal Route of Karlstejn and Křivoklát.

For the community Hýskov no districts are reported. To Hýskov the settlement Stara Huť heard ( Althütten at the Beroun ).
