Hysterical Blindness (film)

Hysterical Blindness is an American film drama directed by Mira Nair in the year 2002. The screenplay was written by Laura Cahill on the basis of his own stage play.

Action

The film story is set in Bayonne (New Jersey) in 1987. Debbie Miller experienced strong mood swings. She turns to a doctor who advises her to have fun together with your friends.

Miller and her friend Beth go to a bar, where they are looking for male acquaintances. Beth flirting with the barman what Miller dislikes. Debbie leaves the bar and meets a man who accompanies her on the way to her car.

Miller meets the man the next day. It turns out that the man is not looking for relationship, just a one night stand.
