Hytera

Hytera is a manufacturer of radios and radio systems. The company was founded in Shenzhen in 1993 and operates worldwide. To Hyteras products include radio systems and wireless solutions by the radio standard by DMR, TETRA and MPT 1327 and corresponding radios.

The company is located in Shenzhen, China. Hyteras products are developed in a total of three development sites. One of the development sites ( Hytera Mobile GmbH) located in Bad Munder in the district Eimbeckhausen in Germany. In addition, Hytera has subsidiaries in the U.S. and in the UK.

Hytera Mobile GmbH

The German Hytera Mobile GmbH was founded in 1980 as an engineering company and acquired in 1988 by Rohde & Schwarz. They bore the name of Rohde & Schwarz Professional Mobile Radio. The company has taken the first TETRA system in operation in Germany. In March 2012, Hytera took over this company by the German electronics company Rohde & Schwarz in Munich. and led it under the name of Hytera further mobile GmbH.

Mainly, the company is engaged in the development and implementation of trunked radio systems according to the TETRA standard. In the years 2010 to 2012, the export share of the company has risen to 81 percent, as well as 43 new jobs were created in Lower Saxony. In 2013, the company had 134 employees and customers in 37 countries. Customers include authorities and organizations with security tasks as well as the oil and gas industry, transport companies, airport operators and military users.

At the Hanover Fair 2013 received Hytera Mobile GmbH 4th Lower Saxon Foreign Trade Award for small and medium-sized enterprises from the hand of the Minister of Economy Olaf Lies.
