Hyuganatsu

The Hyūganatsu (Japanese日 向 夏) is a citrus plant (Citrus ). Hyūga is the old name of the province today's Miyazaki Prefecture ( on the island of Kyushu, Japan). Due to the subtropical climate of Kyushu thrive Hyūganatsu particularly popular. The fruit is light yellow medium in size, roundish to slightly elongated oval - shaped at maturity. The inside is juicy and also seeds of sweet taste, but are included.

It is probably as a chance seedling from the pomelo ( Citrus maxima) and tangerine likely (Citrus reticulata ) emerged. The scientific name of such hybrids Citrus × aurantium is a synonym is Citrus tamurana hort. ex Tanaka.
