The Hyundai Veloster is a continuous tape as a sport coupe car model of Korean car manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company and a 2 2- seater.

The development of the vehicle based on a design study of the Korean Hyundai research and development center in Hwaseong Namyang from 2007, which was presented at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt am Main.

On the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2011 for the first time the production model was introduced. The presentation took place in early March 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show. The official launch in Germany began with the autumn festival of Hyundai dealers on 23 October 2011, the first vehicles were but the beginning of August at the dealership.

Motorised the model was initially only with a 103 kW/140 hp 1.6 -liter direct injection petrol engine combined with a six-speed manual transmission or a dual clutch transmission, also with six speeds. The fuel consumption is 6.5 or 6.4 liters per 100 km and that of the model 1.6 GDI blue is due to the start -stop system at 5.9 liters.

In the fall of 2012 also came a turbo version of the same engine with 137 kW ( 186 hp) on the market.

A special feature is the door of the Veloster concept, which has on the driver's side and a larger door on the passenger side two doors.
