Hyżne
Hyżne is a village located in powiat Rzeszowski in the Subcarpathian Voivodship, Poland. The village is the seat of the municipality of the same country.
Geography
Hyżne located 20 km south-east of Rzeszow.
History
The first written mention of Hyżne dates from the year 1436. 1590 Katarzyna Wapowska founded a church on the mountain Tatar. End of the seventeenth century, it is replaced by a stone church. This was replaced by the present parish church of 1727 -1739.
From 1975 - 1998 the village belonged to the province of Rzeszów.

The municipality has a surface area of 50.98 km ². 69 % of its territory is used for agriculture, 23 % is covered by forest.
