I Drove All Night is a 1987 originally for Roy Orbison written by Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg song, which he recorded in 1987, as well as John Waite. 1989 I Drove All Night by Cyndi Lauper was first released on the album A Night to Remember. The previously recorded version of Roy Orbison appeared only in 1991 and 1992 as a single on the posthumously released album King of Hearts. Nino de Angelo 1993 published a German -language cover version titled I drive the night and 1997 Karel Gott the Czech version Nocni král. John Waite published his version in 2001. In the charts I Drove All Night came in the first published version of Cyndi Lauper and in the cover version by Celine Dion from the year 2003.

The cover of Celine Dion was the most successful with No. 1 rankings in 2003 in Sweden and Canada.
