I Made Mangku Pastika

I Made Mangku Pastika ( born June 22, 1951 in Buleleng, Bali, Indonesia) is an Indonesian politician. The former head of the Bali Police and the Indonesian National Narcotics Board since 2008, the governor of the province of Bali. He is regarded as a promoter of sustainable tourism in Bali.

Pastika, a member of the Partai Demokrasi Indonesia - Perjuangan (PDI -P), received in the provincial elections of 2008 according to statement of Balinese Electoral Commission ( Komisi Pemilihan Umum Bali) from July 16, 2008 55.04 % of the valid votes. On August 28, 2008, he was sworn in for the term 2008-2013, sparking from his predecessor Dewa Beratha.

Honors

In October 2003, he was the Order of Australia ( Officer of the Order, AO ) was awarded for his contribution to the elucidation of the terrorist attack of 12 October 2002. Pastika at the time was chief investigator Balinese.
