Band History
I Santo California was founded in 1973 in the southern Italian region of Campania. In 1975 they took their biggest hit Tornerò on, was sold by the world's roughly 11 million records, and was partly sold outside Italy in the local language. Tornerò reached number one in Italy and Switzerland as well as other top - 10 finishes. In Germany, the single reached number two in the charts. In the following years they were successful with their publications, particularly in Switzerland. In 1977 the band recorded the title part in the prestigious Monica San Remo Festival and took third place. Shortly after this success, the band retreated from the spotlight and decided only in smaller regional events occur.
