I-Threes
The I- Threes were the backing vocals trio of Bob Marley & the Wailers, Judy Mowatt consisting of Marcia Griffiths and Bob Marley's wife Rita Marley. The trio was formed in 1974, shortly after Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer left the band. They were first heard on the album Natty Dread (1974) and accompanied by the beginning of 1975 Bob Marley on a tour of the United States, where she appeared as the opening act for The Jackson Five.
The trio also took over the background vocals on two albums by Serge Gainsbourg: Aux armes et Caetera (1979) and Mauvaises nouvelles des étoiles (1981).
