I Wanna Be Where You Are is a song by Michael Jackson from 1972, which appeared on the album Got to Be There. It has been written by Arthur "T- Boy" Ross and Leon Ware, produced by Hal Davis was there.

It was the third Top 20 hit Jackson during his time at Motown, the song reached the Billboard Hot 100 number 16, it was the first collaboration between goods and Ross, the younger brother of Diana Ross. 1976, known both written with the song for Marvin Gaye I Want You. This song is considered as the second version of I Wanna Be Where You Are.
