I Will Always Love You

I Will Always Love You is a song by American country musician Dolly Parton in 1974, which was the cover version of Whitney Houston for further success in 1992. Houston's version is from the soundtrack to the film Bodyguard, finishing in 16 countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the United States and the United Kingdom number one on the pop charts, reaching platinum status multiple.

The version of Dolly Parton

The song was written in 1973 by Parton, recorded in June 1973 at RCA Records in Nashville and released in February 1974 on Parton's album Jolene; Producer was Bob Ferguson. In April 1974, the single release was followed. The song reached No. 1 on the 1974 country charts and 1982 in a newly recorded version again the top of the country as well as number 53 on the pop charts. The mid- seventies wanted Elvis Presley to record a cover version of the song. In 1994, the song won a Grammy Award for Single of the Year, and Houston won a Grammy for Best Female Vocal Performance - Pop. Similarly, the piece with two American Music Awards, and numerous other world music awards was excellent.
