IAC Interactive Corp. is a US-based Internet companies.

History

1995 Barry Diller Chairman and CEO of Silver King Communications Inc., which became the IAC later. Silver King merged with Home Shopping Network and Savoy Pictures Entertainment, and was subsequently renamed HSH Inc.. 2010 moved a native of film and television industry Diller, who had led the group for decades alone, the Supervisory Board. New CEO of IAC was Gregg sheet.

In 1997, the company acquired 50% of the Ticketmaster Group. 1998 USA Network, SCI FI and Universal domestic TV was included in the group. The company name was changed to USA Networks Inc ( USAI ). The group went the same year to the NASDAQ Stock Market. Also in 1998, merged with Ticketmaster Online CitySearch for Ticketmaster Online CitySearch Inc ( TMCS ).

In 1999, the Hotel Reservations Network was acquired, which was later renamed Hotels.com. In the same year the TMCS took over the portal Match.com and the city plans from Microsoft.

2002 USAI bought the TV Travel Group Interval International. Followed in 2003 by the Entertainment Publications Inc with uDate.com, LendingTree, Hotwire, RealEstate.com, GetSmart, and Expedia. So the group the name Interactive Corp. was given.

In 2004, TripAdvisor, Inc., ServiceMagic, Inc. and Home Loan Center was excitement adopted. In 2005, he AskJeeves Inc. and the Cornerstone Brands Inc.

In 2005, the online travel agencies ( Expedia, Hotels.com, Hotwire, TripAdvisor, etc.) were spun off into the independent listed company Expedia Inc.. 2007, the division of society was announced in five independent, listed companies and completed in August 2008.
