Ian Haugland

Ian Haugland ( born August 13, 1964 in Nordrejsa, Norway when Jan Håkan Haugland ), is a Swedish drummer of the rock band Europe. He also works as a radio presenter at the Stockholm local radio station 106.7 rock classics. His father's name is Sigmund Haugland, his mother Siv died 2002.

Already eight months moved Ian with his family in the Stockholm suburb of Märsta (Sweden). He currently lives in Stockholm.

His musical career began as a 13 -year-old in the band Rainbow Rising with Cozy Powell. He still played in some other bands like Trilogy, in which the bassist Leif Edling of Candlemass sang, and Yngwie J. Malmsteen 's band in Rising Force. In the summer of 1984, Ian joined the Swedish rock band Europe, replacing the fired Tony Reno on drums. After the dissolution / Pause the band in 1992, Haugland toured with various bands and recorded with them on plates: Brazen Abbot, Clockwise, Last Autumn's Dream, John Norum, Europe and the former Black Sabbath / Deep Purple vocalist Glenn Hughes. In 1998 he recorded a cover version of the Black Sabbath song " Changes" for the Ozzy Osbourne tribute album Ozzified.
