Ian Joy

Ian Paul Joy (born 14 July 1981 in San Diego ) is a former American football player.

By the end of the 2010 season he played for the Portland Timbers in the USSF Division 2 Professional League. In April 2011, he made his career end known and switched to the media at Real Salt Lake.

Playing career

Born in the USA Joy grew up in the Scottish Bo'ness and was active as a teenager in the youth academies of Manchester United and Tranmere Rovers. Then he played as a professional football player for Montrose FC, ​​Kidderminster Harriers and Chester City. He joined in late 2003 in the Major League Soccer to the Columbus Crew, where he but outside the reserve team did not play.
