Iași County
Iasi [ jaʃ ʲ ] is a Romanian county ( Judet ) in the region of Moldova to the district capital Iaşi. Its common abbreviation and the license plate number are IS.
The county is bordered on the north by the Iasi Botosani county, on the east by Moldova, on the south by the Vaslui county, on the west by the circles Neamt and Suceava.
Demography
In 2002, the county 816 910 inhabitants and a population density of 150 inhabitants per km ².
In the 2011 Census the county had 772 348 inhabitants Brăila thus a population density of 141 inhabitants per km ².
Geography
The county has a total area of 5476 km ², equivalent to 2.29 % of the area of Romania.

The circle consists of Iaşi official 429 villages. Of these, five city status, 93 to a community. The rest are assigned to administrative cities and towns.
