Creation

Typical theme in works such as Kilroy, Kilroy (1989) and Kajserens atlas ( Kejserens atlas, 2003) is the search for the memory and the intertwining of Review, Preview and present, who is enlightened in the end in a presence of Flash.

Michael finds his subjects mainly in overseas, eg in Oceania ( Kilroy, Kilroy and The Atlas of the emperor), Central America ( Mayalandet ) or South America ( Paven af India). He tries to give the reader part of the local culture. In Kilroy, Kilroy also the differences between Chinese and Tibetan culture will be discussed. In Kejserfortællingen all these geographical lines are brought together. A trip to the Middle Ages can be found, however, in Troubadurens Laerling.

Of central importance in Michael's work, the development of a multiverse, in which his work received as a work of art and in the complementary thinking plays a big role.
