IBC Tower

The IBC is a complex of buildings in Frankfurt am Main. It consists of three buildings (A, B and C called ), with the highest ( Building C ) is a high-rise building with 112 meters height. It was built under the project name Investment Banking Center. Since it never took this function, it was at times also Individual Business or Individual Business Concepts named. Today, only the name is used IBC.

Description

The building was built by Deutsche Bank on a design by Koehler Architects and completed in 2003. It lies at the Theodor -Heuss -Allee 70-74 in the Bockenheim district close to the Frankfurt Messe.

Originally, the German Bank planned in the building complex Frankfurter their dealer contract. This plan was never implemented. Finally, the German bank sold the entire building to the American financial investor Blackstone Group and hired himself only the part of the building B, in which the German bank for private and business customers AG as well as parts of the human resources division of the German banking group were housed. The component A was mostly let construction and rental mbH in 2004, Degussa Bank GmbH, ING Real Estate Development and INDUSTRIA.

2006 rented the German bank to the entire high-rise, because due to a comprehensive refurbishment of the head office at Taunusanlage a temporary quarters for the staff was needed. Thus, the IBC complex was rented until the completion of the renovation work in 2010 to 100 percent.

In the entrance area of the IBC since 2005 depends the 765 x 500 cm large sculpture cash flow of the German artist Olaf Metzel aluminum and acrylic.
