Iberg (Winterthur)

Iberg is an outer guard and a neighborhood of the city of Winterthur and belongs to the group 3 ( lakes).

History

A double Iberg settlement with two Zelgensystemen is first recorded in a document on 28 July 1264. These times Hartmann had the Elder of Kyburg the upper courtyard bequeathed to the Canons Heiligenberg, while the bottom remained the property of Kyburg.

Traffic

Iberg is served by the city bus line 9 of Winterthur, the Iberg ( bus station " Klosterli Iberg » on the northwestern edge of the outer guard ) with the station connects Winterthur-Seen and other surrounding outdoor Wachten. In the evening the line is run as a Paratransit.

By 2008 Iberg and the other outside Wachten were still attached to the post bus line 681 directly to the Winterthur main station.

Education

There are two primary school buildings in Iberg: the village school house in the center, where the kindergarten and a middle school class are housed and the primary school Iberg pavilion which houses three sub- levels classes.

For the advanced level, students have to go to secondary school building upper lakes.

Sports

From 1959 to 1974 each a motocross race was held on Iberghang from RV Winterthur.
