Ibis (journal)

Ibis - Subtitles The International Journal of Avian Science - is a journal that is published continuously since 1859 by the British Ornithologists ' Union ( BOU ). It is published once a quarter, and deals with many issues such as ornithology, ecology, conservation, environmental protection, Environmental protection, palaeontology, taxonomy and new species. Ibis publishes original works, reports and short messages in advance of ornithological research. The focus is in the preservation, ecology, ethology, and the classification of birds. First editor was the British lawyer and zoologist Philip Sclater Lutley.

All contributions must be written in English. The work may not previously have been published elsewhere. Should the contribution by the BOU are accepted, the author must assign an exclusive license to the British Ornithologists ' Union.
