IBM BASIC

IBM Cassette BASIC was a version of Microsoft BASIC programming language that has licensed for the IBM PC to Microsoft, the company IBM. The programming language was directly integrated into the ROM BIOS of the IBM PC. Cassette BASIC offered the user a default user interface when the computer no disk was present or when the boot process of the computer did not find any bootable floppy. The name Cassette BASIC for the program came from the fact that for the storage of programs and data normally compact cassettes and diskettes were used.
