Ibolya Csák

Ibolya Čák [ ibojɒ tʃa ː k] ( born January 6, 1915 in Budapest, † February 9, 2006 ibid ) was a Hungarian athlete. It was 1936 Olympic champion in high jump.

Čák won at the 1936 Summer Games in Berlin, the Olympic final with a height of 1.60 meters. So she was the first Hungarian athletics Olympic champion ever.

Two years later she first defeat at the European Athletics Championships in Vienna, the German Dora Ratjen. Having had, however, been found that Ratjen was in fact a man, Čák the European champion title was awarded.
