Ibolya Verebics

Ibolya Verebics (* 1962 in Győr ) is a Hungarian soprano.

Life

Verebics she received the first singing lessons during the school education at Anna Gonda, studied from 1981 to 1986 at the Budapest Franz Liszt Academy of Music with Boldizsar Keonch, Judith Sandor and Csaba Végvári.

In 1986 she received a diploma as a concert singer during the study years and began her concert career. Verebics was a participant at the European and at international singing competitions and won prizes and awards in 1982 in Karlovy Vary, 1983 in Helsinki at Mirham - Helim Competition with the Special Jury Prize, 1985 in Barcelona when Vinas -song competition with a monthly stipend in Italy Ettore Campagallioni, then continued in 1987 in the BBC Cardiff competition, 1988 in Philadelphia and in New York at the Pavarotti competition.

As a course participant, she was in the master class of Elisabeth Schwarzkopf in the Salzburg Mozarteum and in Pesaro with Luciano Pavarotti. Ibolya Verebics mastered a vast repertoire with the great works and masses, oratorios and concert times from Bach to Weber. In the song, singing it is a preferred Mozartinterpretin.

Verebics worked, inter alia, Antal Dorati together with Helmuth Rilling and that it undertook for recordings and CDs. Under Manfred Honeck, took place in December 1994 at the Leipzig Gewandhaus, the performance of the Symphony No. 4 by Gustav Mahler, where the singer took the soprano solo. Furthermore Verebics worked with Julia Hamari, Marilyn Horne, Christa Ludwig and Peter Schreier. In 1990 she met her future husband in Israel Joachim Pape know. In 1992, their son Cornelius on the world. She is married and lives in Stuttgart.

She gave concerts in Vienna, Eisenstadt, Budapest, Brno, Oviedo, Gran Canaria, Israel, as well as Los Angeles and New York City. Verebics had a participation at the European Music Festival of Bach Academy in Stuttgart and at the International Wolfsegger concerts.

She is since 1986 member of the Hungarian National Opera in Budapest and sings opera roles as Micaela in Carmen, Marguerite in Faust, Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice, La Clemenza di Tito.
