Ibrahim Maaroufi

Ibrahim Maaroufi (Arabic إبراهيم معروفي ) ( born January 18, 1989 in Brussels ) is a Belgian- Moroccan football player.

Career

Association

The midfielder comes from the youth department of RSC Anderlecht and later played for PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands. In 2006, Maaroufi in the youth of Inter Milan.

He was called into the squad for the first team several times. His debut in Serie A, he finally admitted on 25 October 2006 against AS Livorno, when he came for Dejan Stanković 82 minutes into the match. With this commitment, he is the second youngest player in the history of the Nerazzurri; older than Goran Slavkovski, but younger than Giuseppe Bergomi.

For the second half of the season 2007/ 08 Maaroufi was awarded for one and a half years on the FC Twente Enschede. During the winter break of 2008/ 09 the midfielder to Italy Serie B team Vicenza Calcio on loan. A season later he signed for AC Bellinzona a contract for three years.

National

Ibrahim Maaroufi plays for the Moroccan U -20 team as well as for the Olympic team of the home of his parents. In 2007, he was first nominated for the Belgian U21.
