IBX Group

IBX (official name: IBX Group AB ) is an international provider of solutions and services for the procurement of large and medium-sized enterprises. IBX provides consulting services and on- demand solutions for the procurement and strategic sourcing and describes itself as a leader in business e-procurement in Europe.

Since 2005, IBX is represented by the acquisition of post- Lufthansa joint venture trimondo GmbH in Germany. In October 2006, the acquiring Portum followed. In 2010, IBX was acquired by Capgemini.

The IBX customers include major European companies from different industries, including Ikea, Lufthansa, Linde AG, Thomas Cook, Volvo, Saab, Skanska, the state of Norway or SAS.

History

The company was founded in 2000 as IBX Integrated Business Exchange AB Ericsson, SEB and B business partners in Stockholm. Among the founders were Hans Ahlinder, Björn Böhme, Christer Hallqvist and Peter Lageson. The first time was used to set up an application environment and implement at Ericsson and SEB. These agreements with SAP and Commerce One were made.

Since its founding, IBX is on a continuous growth path and is also active in other northern European countries. In 2004, IBX launched by the signing of a long -term contract with Deutsche Post an expansion in the whole of Europe.

In March 2005, IBX took over the then leading German e -commerce company trimondo GmbH, in October 2006 was followed by the Portum, a mainly active in Germany, France and Spain company that specializes in e- sourcing. Since then IBX offers Europe e- sourcing, e -procurement and e-payment solutions.

IBX today

IBX has 232 employees at various European locations and is active in more than 80 different countries.

IBX operates seven branches in Europe: Stockholm (HQ ), Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Paris, Oslo and Oxford.

Since 2005, IBX published twice a year to Efficient Purchasing Magazine, a Europe-wide distributed magazine for professional buyers. Editor in chief of the Swedish financial journalist Johan Beer.

In May 2008, IBX has published the book Purchasing Transformation. The book uses the practical experience of shopping consultants and provides approaches to how companies can exploit the potential of purchasing.
