IC 1613

IC 1613 is a dwarf irregular galaxy in the constellation Cetus. The galaxy was discovered in 1906 by German astronomer Max Wolf.

IC 1613 has an apparent magnitude of 9.2 mag and an angular extent of 16 ' 6 x 14', 9 The galaxy has a distance of about 2.9 million light years and is a member of the Local Group.
