Ice hockey at the 1928 Winter Olympics
The Olympic ice hockey tournament of the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz ( Switzerland ) was at the same time as the third IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship and 13 Hockey Championship. The tournament was held to 19 February 1928 by 11. Eleven teams took part, but lacked the USA.
The tournament started with a preliminary round in three groups. The three group winners reached the final round and played here with the Canadians set the medals. Canada picked up his third Olympic gold medal in ice hockey and the third world title in a row.
