Ice hockey at the Asian Winter Games

Hockey has the I Winter Asian Games 1986 fixture of Asian Winter Games, where only since 1996, Mrs. Hockey is represented in the game program.

While previously only competed well at the World Championships teams represented at the Asian Games, in particular since 1999, this platform is increasingly being used also for international debuts. So already in 1999 played the Mongolian national ice hockey team at the Asian Games, but did not occur until 2007, the first time at the World Championships.

The teams of Kuwait ( first participation at the Asian Games in 1999 ), Thailand (2003), the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Macao ( the latter took each first time in 2007 at the hockey tournaments in the Asian Games in part ) renounce so far on World Cup participations. Hong Kong debut at the Asian Games in 2007, but had already participated once in 1987 at the D- group of the World Cup.
