The Ice is a mega - yacht owned by Russian oligarch Suleiman Kerimov Abusaidowitsch and ranked No. 34 in the list of the longest motor yachts in the world.

Development

It was designed by Tim Heywood and Terence Disdale and built by the German Lürssen shipyard in Bremen. Initially it was called Air and was Ernesto Bertarelli, an Italian / Swiss businessman, who still sold in the year of its completion to the Russian billionaire Suleiman Kerimov.

Equipment

The Ice is equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system. It consists of two Deutz generators that produce electricity for two ABB type 5 Pod drives. The ship has a top speed of up to 18 knots. As one of the most environmentally friendly motor yachts she has both advanced noise and vibration damper and a control system for exhaust gas mitigation. With the 400 008 -liter tank, the Ice is to cover around 6,000 nautical miles in a position where a top speed of 18.6 knots can be achieved.
