Iceland at the 1960 Summer Olympics
Iceland participated in the Summer Olympics in 1960 in Rome, Italy, with a delegation of nine athletes ( eight men and one woman) in eleven competitions in two sports part. There were no medals are won. The youngest athlete was the swimmer Ágústa Þorsteinsdóttir (18 years and 132 days), the oldest athlete was the Athlete Pétur Rögnvaldsson (26 years and 135 days). It was the seventh participation in the Olympic Summer Games for the country. Standard-bearer was Pétur Rögnvaldsson.
